Sam Porcello was a food scientist who is credited with inventing the recipe for Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in the 1920s. He worked for the Hershey Chocolate Company for over 30 years and was known for his innovative work in creating new chocolate and peanut butter products.
Porcello also played a key role in developing Hershey's Special Dark chocolate and the production of M&M's, among other popular confectionery items. His work in the food industry earned him a reputation as a pioneer in the field of food science.
Porcello passed away in 2012 at the age of 92, leaving behind a legacy of delicious treats enjoyed by people all over the world.
